DENVER – Phoenix Suns coach Frank Vogel said Devin Booker is “day-to-day” with a right ankle sprain as the four-time All-Star didn’t make the trip to Denver for Tuesday’s showdown against the defending NBA champion Nuggets.

Before Tuesday's game, Vogel said it’s “unlikely” Booker will play Thursday versus the Raptors, but “we’ll see how he is over the weekend and into next week.” Sources informed The Republic that Booker's time range to return is five to 14 days with five being the best case and 14 being the worst case.

The Suns play Saturday against Boston before beginning a four-game road trip Monday at Cleveland.

Booker sprained his right ankle stepping on Suns teammate Nassir Little’s left ankle trying to guard Rockets point guard Fred VanVleet late in Saturday’s home loss to Houston.

He didn’t play in Sunday’s loss to Oklahoma City in the second of a home back-to-back.
