Officers with the NYPD rushed to save a woman who attempted to jump into the East River on Sunday.

The incident happened during the New York Half Marathon and assigned precinct officers were able to grab her before she fell into the water, police said in a post on X.

Officers held onto her until NYPD Special Ops Harbor Unit officers arrived to help.

In the video, officers are seen rushing to the bridge and grabbing the woman while telling her to give them her hand.

The woman is heard screaming "Let me go!" while officers continue to tell her "Don't go. Don't do it. Give me your hand."

The NYPD Special Ops Harbot Unit arrives moments later in a boat to help rescue the woman as officers say "We're going to get you the help you need."

She is then pulled from the bridge and placed safely in the boat.

"If you, or someone you know are experiencing a crisis, know that you are not alone," police said.
