Acclamation Brewing’s new location along the Allegheny River in Verona offers 20 craft beers on tap.

Brews with a view is a new reality for patrons of Acclamation Brewing, as the business settles in to a new riverside location in Verona.

At 314 Arch St. at the 10.7 Marina site, co-owner Jason Yahnke of Oakmont created a business with friends and family that allows him to set his own hours and accommodate his wife and his special-needs daughter, Alex, 8.

Moving the brewery from 555 Wildwood Ave. last week has afforded scenic views of the Allegheny River and, coming soon, courtesy dock parking for boaters.

“This move is more than just a change of address; it’s a leap into a world of possibilities,” Yahnke said. “We’re beyond thrilled to transform into a full-service establishment at our new riverside haven.”

The brewery opened in 2020.

The new locale offers seating for more than 60 in the indoor beer garden, a 50-seat taproom and year-round outdoor seating.

Yahnke shares business duties with co-owners Dave Angalich of Wheeling, W.Va., Lettie and Dave Costanza of Oakmont, and Jim Callender of Butler.

All of the craft beer is brewed off-site in their original location shared with Pittsburgh Pickle Co. in Verona.

Tara Cole, 41, of Verona attended the new location’s recent grand opening.

Cole, a craft brewing fan, frequents local breweries.

“The old location had outdoor seating in a parking lot. This is exciting because it’s nice to look at the river,” Cole said. “I look for places with al fresco feel, and it’s a lot bigger.”

Acclamation Brewing’s new location at 314 Arch St. in Verona has an outdoor beer garden and soon will include a courtesy boat dock.

The 20 beers on tap, along with seasonal beers and hard seltzers, come with whimsical names, including Grainbow Brite, a German-style Helles lager; The Pooka, a dry Irish stout; and Spittin’ Chiclets, a Rakau IPA.

Yahnke, who graduated with an engineering degree from West Virginia University, shares brewmaster duties with Costanza and Angalich.

“We have a slow-growth mentality and have done this without loans,” Yahnke said of the brewery’s success.

“I plan on being there once a week,” Cole said. “That will be huge for them having a boat (dock). There’s nothing better than pulling up in a boat and have a spot to have something to eat and drink.”

The brewery’s menu, created by chef Leslie Addis of Greenfield, offers creative bites such as Pierogi Pizza, served with mashed potatoes, caramelized onions, sour cream and chives.

“I think it was a great move on their part, and I’m so excited for them,” Cole said.
