16-year-old arrested in Sansom Park shooting that killed a man in late February

Authorities arrested a teen in connection to a shooting that killed a 24-year-old man in late February, Sansom Police announced in a news release on Friday.

Sansom and Fort Worth police served an arrest warrant Friday morning in the homicide of Logan Perkins. Perkins was found shot and unresponsive on February 29 at an apartment located in the 3100 block of La Junta Street, according to police.

Officers took a 16-year-old suspect into custody without incident on Friday, the release says. Due to their age, no other information will be released regarding the suspect’s identity.

The cause of Perkins’ death was multiple gunshot wounds, and the death was ruled a homicide by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
