MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Chickasaw man was found guilty of capital murder in a 2017 double murder, according to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.

Darrell Demetrius Watts, 27, of Chickasaw, was convicted by a Mobile County jury Friday. He is responsible for the December 2017 double murder of Kenneth Foster and James Rutledge, according to the DA’s office.

Both men were found shot to death in the middle of Felix Street in the Toulminville community, according to past reports.

A news release from the DA’s office said testimony was presented that showed before midnight on Dec. 21, 2017, Watts killed both people using a revolver.

Watts was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
