OAKLAND — A 28-year-old man fatally shot March 21 inside a motel room was identified by police Tuesday as Martin Millan, of Oakland.
A motive has not yet been determined in the killing and no arrests have been made.
Millan was found dead from at least one gunshot wound about 11:13 p.m. March 21 inside a room at the Nights Inn, 874 West MacArthur Blvd., authorities said.
Police said they were told he had been staying at the motel about a week.
The person who shot Millan fled before police got to the scene.
A gofundme account to help cover his funeral expenses has been established by relatives. As of Tuesday afternoon, $2,400 toward a goal of $25,000 had been raised.
