TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) — The Tucson Police Department has identified a man that was found dead after a shooting in midtown Tucson.

On March 25, officers responded to a shooting at a gas station near 22nd Street and Alvernon Way.

TPD says officers arrived at 9:45 p.m. and found 23-year-old Isaiah Brewster unresponsive with a gunshot wound.

Brewster was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers also found a 28-year-old woman with a gunshot wound.

The Tucson Fire Department responded and took the woman to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to TPD, Brewster and a couple were arguing in the parking lot of the gas station. Brewster pulled a gun and fired, hitting the woman.

TPD says a security exited the gas station and saw the shooting. The guard shot and hit Brewster.

Detectives say no charges have been filed but their findings will be presented to the Pima County Attorney’s Office.
