2012 Caucus Process
Delegate Allocation: There will be a binding presidential preference vote in each legislative district on March 6 to allocate delegates to the state convention, which will be April 26-28. The 24 pledged delegates – 3 by Congressional district, 21 at-large -- to the national convention will be chosen at the state convention proportionally based on the March 6 vote. The three Republican National Committee members remain unbound.
Eligibility: Participation in the Alaska caucuses is open to registered Republicans. A voter may register or re-register as a Republican at the convention.
