Milwaukee Brewers unveil new scoreboards at American Family Field before the beginning of the 2024 MLB season.The full-screen edge-to-edge 12,077 square feet centerfield scoreboard is one of the largest in MLB stadiums and replaces the previous 5,940 square feet scoreboard.The second board positioned over the right field is 2,840 square feet and will display detailed player statistics, game highlights and promotional features."There'll be times for sure when we integrate all of the boards behind the dugouts, behind home plate, and both boards to integrate whether it's, you know, a home run or some great moment," Brewers President Business Operations Rick Schlesinger said.These are some of the biggest MLB scoreboards.Over 24,000 square feet — Citi Field, New York Mets.13,039 square feet — Progressive Field, Cleveland Guardians.Over 11,425 square feet — T-Mobile Park, Seattle Mariners.8,820 square feet — Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City Royals.7,372 square feet — Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia Phillies.These upgrades come after Wisconsin lawmakers approved a plan to spend more than $500 million to help the Brewers repair their stadium over the next three decades.Schlesinger said the cost of the boards was between $12 million and $14 million, including the scoreboard control room equipment.Other upgrades include new local food vendors offering food and beverage options inspired by the Third Street Market Hall in downtown Milwaukee.The Brewers team store was expanded and will offer a variety of new products and a quicker check-out process. The Brewers home opener is on April 2 against the Minnesota Twins.
