A two-car crash near the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee early Sunday killed a 31-year-old driver from the Bronx and injured two other people, New Jersey State Police said.
The crash occurred about 6:25 a.m. as the New York man lost control of his Acura while driving on the ramp connecting Route 4 with the local lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike, officials said.
Police said the Acura struck a concrete wall on the right side of the roadway, causing the car to veer left, cross over a curb median and enter the southbound local lanes of the highway. It crossed into the path of a Ford passenger vehicle operated by 23-year-old man from Elizabeth, authorities said. The resulting collision sent both vehicles into the roadway's left guardrail.

The Acura's driver died of his injuries. A 24-year-old passenger in his car suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries. State police did not release names of any of the three.
The crash remains under investigation.
