Perfect, bright white teeth are all the rage at the moment, and many people are opting to travel to Turkey to get their gnashers done cheaply - but one woman was slated for her new set.

Little did they know, however, that it was all part of a hilarious prank she'd decided to pull, convincing many that her huge and luminous teeth were actually the look she'd wanted and paid for - leaving many fuming with her, saying that she needed some more "honest" friends to tell her the truth about her teeth.

Maisie Smith, 32, was desperate to show her TikTok followers her gleaming new dentures that she posted a video flaunting them. But in her video, which raked in over 3.5 million views, she claimed that the procedure had gone wrong.

Maisie kept tricking people by continuing to maintain that her teeth were real in a series of videos about her daily life - and people fell for it hook line and sinker. Much to her surprise, other people who were hoping to get their own teeth done abroad soon were now thinking twice about making the trip as they weren't impressed with the alleged outcome.

In the reveal video where she covered her mouth for much of the clip, Maisie said she was "absolutely buzzing" with the way her teeth were now, saying that they'd "completely changed" the way that she looked. "They are exactly how I wanted them", she claimed saying: "The deal I got was unbelievable", sharing that she got the deal on her teeth for £1,700. "Are you ready for the reveal?", she asked, as she shared her sparkling teeth. "I can't believe I've finally got lovely teeth", she joked - but many didn't understand that it was satire.

She faced plenty of backlash after the videos, however, with many people commenting things like: "What in the name of all that is holy have you done with those teeth, that's not in the slightest bit normal", "You need to get some honest, straight talking friends in your life", and "You could bite the table in half with them gnashers!"

With more and more people getting tricked along the way, Maisie gradually began to drop the act as followers began to clock on. Replying to some negative feedback she said: "First of all this hasn't backfired on me, it was a joke. Has no one got any humour anymore? I am going to Turkey soon to get my own teeth done, I have purely done this for a laugh!"
