DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A man was shot and killed early Thursday morning in Durham, according to police.

Officers from the Durham Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 3400 block of Old Chapel Hill Road near the intersection with Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway around 1:33 a.m. Once on scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Samuel Carr.

The scene is still being investigated, but according to police, they believe it to be an isolated incident.
