Michael Beasley: 'LeBron James is the GOAT'

- by

Mike Miller: Who’s your GOAT? Michael Beasley: Who’s my GOAT all-time? LeBron. And I can give you a very compelling argument: if we had right here all the players from history stats, no names, right? And you know we stacked the best point guard, shooting guard, small forward, etc whatever even bench, even coach, yeah you can put that man’s stats up and he can be the best one, two, three, four, five, he can have the best coaching resume, he can have the best GM resume. Like his stats alone right? Just come on, I feel like people that stan Michael Jordan is the GOAT, no disrespect but y’all just holding on to old feelings. You have to acknowledge the fact that what I just said is. He got 40,000 points right now and counting. We think we take care of our body, he treats his like a machine!

Lakers come from 19 down in fourth, rally past Bucks in 2OTs to win without LeBron

Lakers fans have to be feeling pretty good right now. AD is playing out of his mind. D’Angelo’s lighting it up. Reaves rings up historic night. Beat the Bucks on the road without LeBron. No major injuries. 4-game win streak. – 12:09 AM
Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
LAL had a similarly thrilling Double OT win at the start of their last long road trip, at GSW, but then lost the next 2. Reaves said they’re well aware of that.
They’re hoping to get LeBron (ankle) back at Memphis, which would certainly help a ton if he’s able to go. – 11:36 PM
Chris Palmer @ChrisPalmerNBA
Austin Reaves is the first player in Lakers history with at least 29 pts, 14 rebs, 10 asts and 1 or fewer TOs.
Only Lakers to turn this feat with 3 or fewer TOs are Reaves and LeBron. Not even Magic & Kobe. Reaves is the only Laker who’s ever done it twice. pic.twitter.com/ZvRF2GAfrt11:18 PM

With Bucks disappointing 2OT loss to LeBron-less Lakers, the Knicks are now just 2.5 games behind No. 2 Milwaukee and 0.5 games behind No. 3 Cleveland.

Two unexpected results from the last two days: Lakers beat the Bucks without LeBron, and Spurs beat the Suns without Wemby.
Now, instead of leading the Lakers by four games, the Suns lead them by two. The Lakers have the tiebreaker. The Suns have the hardest remaining schedule. – 10:42 PM
Dave McMenamin @mcten
The Lakers win a wild one in double-OT, 128-124, coming back from down 19 in the 4th in Milwaukee to win on a night they didn’t have LeBron in the lineup. AD 34p 23r 4b 2s; Reaves 29p 14r 10a 2b; D-L 29p 12a 7r 2s; Rui 16p 14r. LAL shot 30-for-32 on FTs as a team. – 10:40 PM

LeBron James has missed five games in February and March. Here’s how the Lakers have done in those games:
2/1: Win at Celtics (also no Anthony Davis!)
2/14: Win at Jazz
2/22: Loss at Warriors
3/8: Win vs. Bucks
3/25: Win at Bucks, 19-point comeback – 10:39 PM

Final: Lakers 128, Bucks 124 (2OT)
One of LA’s best wins of the season. They improve to 40-32 and 6-4 w/o LeBron this season. AD had 34 points and 23 rebounds. AR had 29 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. DLo had 29 points and 12 assists.
Up next: at MEM tomorrow. – 10:39 PM
Mike Trudell @LakersReporter
AD drills 2 FT’s to put LAL up 4 with 1.7 seconds left, setting LAL up for perhaps their best win of the season, in which they trailed by 19 early in the 4th Q, without LeBron.
Lakers: 21 for 21 from the line in the 2nd half and OT’s (9 for 11 in the 1st half, 30 of 32 overall). – 10:39 PM

Anthony Davis tonight:
— 52 minutes (career-high)
— 19 missed shots (most as a Lakers)

Huge transition pull up 3 from Spencer Dinwiddie gives the Lakers a lead over the Bucks in OT. LeBron James is not playing and Anthony Davis is playing hurt. Milwaukee should be winning this game. – 10:06 PM

Giannis draws a foul with 2.6 seconds left. Timeout Bucks. The Lakers are fuming that a travel wasn’t called on Giannis. LeBron James just came out to halfcourt during the timeout to speak with the refs. – 9:56 PM

LAL couldn’t find a rhythm on offense throughout a rough 1st Q with LeBron in street clothes, hitting only 7 of 25 FG’s (0 of 6 from 3), and trail the Bucks 32-16.
Milwaukee hit 4 of 9 triples. – 8:06 PM
Jovan Buha @jovanbuha
First quarter: Bucks 32, Lakers 16
LA is shooting 28% and is 0 of 6 on 3s. AD has 8 points and 4 rebounds. LA is struggling to get downhill and finish over the Bucks’ length. AR/DLo/Spencer are a combined 1-of-10. The ball isn’t pinging around how it normally does w/o LeBron. – 8:06 PM
