OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – A now-former payday employee faces three charges of identity theft after allegedly using victims’ names for loans while she worked there in 2023. She also faces a charge of embezzlement after she allegedly stole from the store’s safe.

“I hope she goes right to where we all know she needs to go because you put me in a horrible spot and I hope you get what’s coming to you,” said Aron Troutt, who was one of the three victims.

Court documents show that in 2023, Tytianna Woods worked for Sun Loan at 2713 Southwest 29th Street in Oklahoma City.

Documents allege that on or about July 26, Woods used the names, addresses, date of birth, and social security number of someone who had applied for a loan. Instead of the victim getting the loan, Woods allegedly took the money.

Then on or about July 29, she allegedly did the same thing to take out money under Amber Williams’ identity.

“I never took out a loan from them,” said Williams. “I don’t know why she would take money from people and their families who are in need.”

It didn’t stop there; Woods allegedly used Troutt’s identity to take out a loan as well. She didn’t know anything until she said she received a call telling her she defaulted on a loan.

“A month or two later I got a call from the loan company saying that I took out a $5,000 loan. I’m like no I didn’t. She started arguing with me like I did,” said Troutt. “They told me that I came in the store, I signed for the papers, that I did everything. I’m like, no, you have to look at your cameras. I’ve never been to their stories. When I tried to get a loan online from them I was rejected.”

Troutt said that someone from the store called her back and told her that they found out that it was an old employee of theirs.

“My credit took a hard drop,” said Troutt. “They told me to get it off of my credit I had to dispute it with the credit bureau, and the bureau told me I had to file a police report. So it has been filed and now I’m waiting to see my credit change. Meanwhile, my credit is still flat.”

For Williams, she said it was the same situation and her credit took a drop as well.

“It made it drop by around 90 points,” said Williams. “I had to put three fraud alerts with the credit bureau and they made me put in a release to clear my name but that’s not going to happen until after two months.”

“I think they should not be able to allow an employee to sign anyone’s name like that,” said Williams.

News 4 could not get ahold of the third victim.

Court documents showed that Woods also allegedly stole $4,821.21 from the safe at Sun Loan. It stated that while employed as a Loan Officer money went missing at a certain point from the safe.

After the theft, Woods stopped showing up for work and didn’t notify the store why she wasn’t showing up.

Once Woods allegedly left, another worker was assigned to call all of her loan holders. All three, documents said notified the store that they had not taken out a secondary loan and provided proof of payment from their first loan.

All three loans are said to have been refunded by Sun Loan and closed out with credit inquiries removed from each victim, but the scar of the credit hits remains on most of their histories.

“How did y’all allow her to work there,” asked Troutt. “She should not be allowed to work in another place around money and people’s personal information and be trusted with the safe codes. They are just giving out everyone’s information to anyone.”

“I just really don’t want her to do it to anyone else,” said Williams.

An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for Woods and she faces three counts of identity theft with one count of embezzlement. Documents show that her bond if arrested would be $20,000.
