Police arrested a 16-year-old boy on Wednesday after he was driving a stolen vehicle with a gun inside.

Police say on March 27 around 3:00 p.m., officers were patrolling the 180 block of Pennsylvania Avenue when they saw a stolen vehicle.

Officers tried to stop the vehicle in the 180 block of Division Street, but police say the vehicle fled.

After searching the area, police say officers were able to find the vehicle in the 100 block of McKean Avenue, and the driver then bailed out.

According to police, a short time later, officers found the 16-year-old suspect in the 900 block of McKean Street and arrested him.

Inside the vehicle was a Glock 19 with a switch and an extended magazine, police say.

The suspect was transported to Central Booking Intake Facility to be charged as an adult, according to officials.
