Police on the Massachusetts South Coast have arrested and charged a man with attempted kidnapping, less than 24 hours after they said a person tried to lure two 13-year-old girls into a car behind a store.According to Swansea police, a man, later identified by police as Michael Nutbrown, 60, of Somerset, allegedly approached the two girls as they walked down the bicycle path on Milford Road, behind the Target store on Route 6, asking them if they wanted a ride. Police said the girls asked the man to repeat his comments and then ran away after he repeated his offer to give them a ride.Police said Nutbrown will be arraigned Monday in Fall River District Court. Investigators said moments before the incident, security cameras captured the man's vehicle when it was parked outside the Target store."He exited his vehicle, removed items from the front and back seats and placed them in the trunk," Lt. Mark Foley of Swansea police said in a news release. " Investigators believe he did this to make room for the girls. He then walked away from the vehicle multiple times and stared down the road as the girls walked closer toward his vehicle."Swansea police ask that anyone who may have seen the man in question or the vehicle described call 508-674-8464.
