The Piedmont Bird Club will visit the Glencoe Haw River Trail on April 6.
The trail parallels the Haw River and features river and open forest habitat, allowing for a nice diversity of birds and wildlife. Some of the birds participants may see include ospreys, cormorants, deciduous forest songbirds and various spring migrants.
The three-hour trip begins at 8:30 a.m. at the Glencoe Paddle Access just off Route 62 north of Burlington.
