Arkansas State Police troopers confiscate illegal drugs during traffic stop

A man was taken into custody by Arkansas State Police after troopers found him to be in possession of multiple illegal drugs during a traffic stop.

WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — A man has now been taken into custody by Arkansas State Police after troopers found him to be in possession of multiple illegal narcotics on Wednesday.

According to reports, at around 3:20 p.m., a trooper performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that was driving on Interstate 40 in Crittenden County. As the trooper searched the vehicle, they located several narcotics including psychedelic mushrooms, marijuana buds, hash powder, and marijuana candy.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as 58-year-old William Mixon of Oklahoma was then taken to the Crittenden County Detention Center. 

He is being charged with possession of a schedule I or II substance that is not methamphetamine or cocaine with a purpose to deliver, and with possession of a schedule VI controlled substance with purpose to deliver.
