Jimin Scores A Global Streaming Smash Again As Fans Celebrate A Special Birthday

Following

Jimin is on a short musical break–along with the other six members of his band BTS–to fulfill his military duties in his home country of South Korea. While he may not be producing anything new at the moment, the singer is surging on Spotify with the biggest hit of his own career.

“Like Crazy” by Jimin is up significantly on Spotify’s ranking of the most-streamed songs globally. The tune is on the rise once again as it turns one year old.

Currently, “Like Crazy” sits at No. 25 on Spotify’s global chart as of March 25 (which reflects listening activity from the day prior). The single jumps six spaces from where it sat yesterday, and it’s been on the rise for a while now.

On Sunday (March 24), “Like Crazy” earned another 2.4 million streams globally. That number is only on Spotify, and total consumption of the cut is surely much higher when including plays and purchases on platforms like YouTube, Apple AAPL Music, iTunes, and others.

“Like Crazy” has now lived on the Spotify global chart for 50 days. It has previously peaked at No. 1.

Jimin’s fans are streaming “Like Crazy” back onto the Spotify ranking to celebrate the song’s birthday. The BTS superstar released the cut on March 24, 2023, and it was a massive hit in no time. Now, if his followers continue to consume it in sizable numbers for the next few days, it could become a charting smash all over again.

“Like Crazy” helped Jimin make history when it debuted on the Hot 100 in spring 2023. The song started its time on that competitive tally at No. 1, making Jimin the first South Korean solo artist to top that ranking of the most-consumed songs in the U.S. He would be followed in this achievement a few months later by Jung Kook, his BTS bandmate.

The single preceded the release of Jimin’s first solo collection, an EP titled Face. That project peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, becoming one of several from singers in the South Korean boy band to miss out on the highest rung by one space.
