Tragic Accident in Ardea: A Young Girl's Life Lost in a Three-Car Collision

A very loud crash involving three cars and breaking the life of a little girl of just seven and a half years old. The tragic accident occurred in the early afternoon on the old Pontina road in the municipality of Ardea, near Rome. The three vehicles collided at the intersection with via della Pescarella shortly before 4 pm. Upon the arrival of the rescuers, there was nothing more to be done for the girl. The medical operators did everything possible to resuscitate her by performing resuscitation maneuvers for a long time, but unfortunately, it was all in vain. In the car with her were her mother, who was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Pomezia in a state of shock, and her younger brother, a five-year-old boy, who sustained several fractures. Two other children who were traveling in another car were also injured. A 118 helicopter landed on the scene, with which the most seriously injured, a 50-year-old man, reached the San Camillo in Rome. The firefighters were engaged in extracting the injured from the wreckage of the vehicles while the local police carried out the surveys for a long time with the assistance of the Carabinieri of the Ardea station. The exact dynamics of the collision between the three cars at an intersection are yet to be clarified. From an initial reconstruction, it seems that a car coming from via della Pescarella did not respect a stop and collided with another vehicle coming from the old Pontina road at high speed. In the impact, the driver lost control, colliding with the car traveling in the other lane, in which the woman with her two children, who live a few hundred meters from the scene of the impact and were returning home, was traveling. The crash was very loud, and the girl was the most affected. The responsibilities are now to be reconstructed. The drivers of the two cars were subjected to routine tests for alcohol and drug use. And the intersection where the tragedy occurred, and where it seems that other accidents have been recorded in the past, is also under accusation. "Nothing is done to secure that damned intersection," the inhabitants attack on social media. "What a tragedy - someone writes - if only they put a traffic light."
