(Guthrie Co) Guthrie County Health Services Director Jotham Arber told the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday that he is working on an Animal Bite Ordinance.
Arber said there has been some specific cases of dogs out in the county that have left their owner’s property and attacked farmers on their land.
Arber said he feels it is appropriate at this point to have something in place at the county level for dogs that are repeat offenders.
Arber said he will take the Animal Bite Ordinance recommendation to the Board of Health and then he will bring it to the Board of Supervisors.
In other news, the Guthrie County Board of Supervisors voted 3 to 2 to approve a 3.5-percent salary increase for elected officials for Fiscal Year 2025. Mike Dickson and J.D. Kuster said they would prefer a four percent increase.
