There are repeat offenders, and then there’s this guy.

Police in Pennsylvania said they were called to a home near Williamsport “for a report of a stolen firearm,” Tuesday morning.

Those officers were from the Lycoming Regional Police Department’s Dayshift B Patrol and they reported, “Someone illegally entered [the victim’s] vehicle as it was parked at his residence overnight, and stole items from inside his vehicle.

“Those items included a Glock 9mm handgun, a backpack, and coined currency.”

Officers started investigating.

In fact, they “relentlessly worked on identifying a suspect,” the department said. “They canvassed the surrounding neighborhood and obtained surveillance video of the suspect.”
That suspect looked a little familiar, and for good reason: “They learned that the suspect had been arrested by LRPD on the prior shift after he was involved in a disturbance in which he initially fled from officers.”

Valentino Lewis Anderson had been arrested late Monday and apparently released.

The 23-year-old is charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, theft of a motor vehicle, and loitering and prowling offenses.

“He was recommitted to Lycoming County Prison,” authorities said.
