Medical examiner: Cause of death revealed for woman who died near Milwaukee bus stop

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office has determined that 49-year-old Jolene Waldref's cause of death was hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, with obesity being another significant condition.

The cause of death is listed as being natural.

Footage showed Waldref slipping and falling near a bus stop on Monday, Jan. 15. She called 911 for assistance but was not found until bystanders flagged down an ambulance.

Her death led to meetings between responders and the Milwaukee Fire Dept. regarding policy changes when responding to similar calls.
