Cape Cod native killed in murder-suicide remembered for ‘zest for life’

Meghan Moore, a Cape Cod native killed in a Miami murder-suicide earlier this month, is being remembered for her “humor and zest for life.”

Miami-Dade police say 25-year-old Moore was killed on March 16 by Luis Napoles at her Miami condo, along with her roommate, 23-year-old Sidney Capolino. Napoles, a 40-year-old Miami resident, later killed himself.

According to her obituary, Moore, originally of Centerville, was a standout athlete at Barnstable High School who took her passion for hockey to New England College, where she played on the women’s team and graduated in 2021. She was a favorite among staff and patrons every summer at Spanky’s Clam Shack in Hyannis, the obituary said. Her father was a manager there, the Cape Cod Times reported.
