PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. (WTVA) -- The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating the cause of a multi-car crash that left one person dead.

The crash happened at 2:10 p.m. on March 13 four miles east of Gordo.

Barbara McDaniel was fatally hurt when she collided head on with a Nissan Rogue driven by Cynthia Sullivan of Ethelsville.

McDaniel was pronounced dead at the scene, and Sullivan was injured and airlifted to the UAB hospital in Birmingham.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate.
