A car matching the description of the same vehicle driven by a missing South Carolina paramedic was found on the scene of a shooting that killed a state police officer in New Mexico.

A car matching the description of the same vehicle driven by a missing South Carolina paramedic was found on the scene of a shooting that killed a state police officer in New Mexico.

Phonesia Machado was last seen on Tuesday at her home in Marion, South Carolina, on Wildwood Loop. She was driving a white BMW DX7 with a South Carolina tag EA-1523.

In video of the scene captured by NBC affiliate KOB, a vehicle matching the description was seen with a flat tire.

35-year-old New Mexico State Police Officer Justin Hare was shot and killed on Interstate 40 near Tucumcari, KOB reports.

Authorities are continuing to look for the male suspect ― who they consider armed and dangerous.

It’s not clear if the fatal officer shooting is connected with Machado’s disappearance.
