The Savannah Senior Showcase lived up to the hype Tuesday at Savannah High School. Nearly 50 student-athletes suited up in their jersey for the final time in their high school career and the community came out to show their support.
The girl's team tipped off the showcase with the home team coming out victorious 58-46 over the away team.
The boys took the floor at 7:30 p.m. at the conclusion of the girls game. Similarly, the home team won 81-70.
For nearly 20 years longtime Savannah High Blue Jackets head coach Tim Jordan has held this event and allows the seniors to not only put on their high school jersey for a final time but also allow high school teammates to play against each other.
Coaches drafted players for each team Monday night after practice.
