After a brief third winter earlier this week, fourth spring appears to be back this weekend.
Temperatures will be in the 70s again for much of the weekend for your egg hunts, baseball games, backyard hangs, and patio lunches over the next few days. Soak it in while you can, ’cause one day soon it’s just gonna be hot, hot summer all the time of a sudden.
Speaking of baseball, the No. 1 Diamond Hogs are kicking off a huge series versus the No. 8 ranked LSU Tigers at Baum Stadium Thursday-Saturday. The series kicks off at 6 p.m. on Thursday night, Friday’s game is at 7 p.m., and the Saturday game is set for 2 p.m.
Also in outdoor activities, the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market’s second Spring Fling market is happening from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday on the square.
There are a couple big shows happening in town this weekend. TheatreSquared’s latest, Laughs in Spanish, officially opens this weekend. Also this weekend, the touring version of Disney’s Aladdin is playing at Walton Arts Center.
It’s looking like a beautiful night for Music on the Mountain at Mount Sequoyah Center Saturday night. The outdoor music series in the ‘Cottage Circle’ on the mountain will feature local songwriter, Jude Brothers this weekend. Music starts at around 6 p.m.
George’s will kick off their weekend with locals classic rockers Full House for happy hour. After that, party band Boom Kinetic will take the stage for late night. On Saturday night, songwriter James McMurtry is back on the big stage.
Also in tunes, there’s a rock show at Nomad’s Trailside on Saturday night featuring Ultra, Idle Valley and Resting.
Folk School of Fayetteville has a performance on Saturday as well with singer/banjo player, Brett Ratliff.
There’s an adult Easter egg hunt at C4 Lounge this weekend. The party starts at 5 p.m. with an egg hunt where participants will search for eggs filled with prizes, drink tickets, and raffle tickets for even bigger prizes. Here’s more about that.
