Highway 24 closed for nearly 2 hours west of Hartsel in Park County Wednesday
A serious crash along a busy Colorado highway was under investigation Wednesday.
PARK COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A crash forced the closure of Highway 24 west of Hartsel on Wednesday.
At about 10 a.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation announced the highway was closed in both directions at Country Road 80, about four miles west of Hartsel in Park County.
“Westbound and eastbound lanes closed, watch for emergency responders to a crash, possible lane blocked, use caution and slower speeds,” a post on CDOT’s website reads.
According to Colorado State Patrol, the crash involved a single person and a medical helicopter was called to the scene for the sole occupant. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
The highway was back open at about 10:35 a.m.
