La Chimera first premiered at the 76th Cannes Film Festival in May 2023. It follows an English archaeologist named Arthur, who embarks on a journey with a band of thieves and grave robbers. However, he’s not looking for ancient treasure like the rest of them. Instead, he hopes to find the legendary door to the underworld, where can reconnect with his late love Beniamina.

WHERE TO WATCH LA CHIMERA:
As of now, the only way to watch La Chimera is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, March 29. You can find a local showing on Fandango. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait until it becomes available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Vudu, Apple, YouTube and Amazon or available to stream on Hulu. WHEN WILL LA CHIMERA BE STREAMING? WILL LA CHIMERA BE ON HULU?
Yes, La Chimera will eventually be available to stream on Hulu due to a deal penned between the streaming platform and Neon, which is distributing the film in the United States. While a release date has not yet been announced, we can make an estimate based on another film that was distributed by the production company.
It Lives Inside, which premiered Sept. 22, 2023, officially came to Hulu on Dec. 29 — about three months after it debuted in theaters. If La Chimera follows the same trajectory, it could join the platform by late June 2024.
WILL LA CHIMERA BE ON HBO MAX?
No, La Chimera will not be on Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. The platform — previously known as HBO Max — also no longer does direct-to-streaming releases. Instead, they’ve implemented a 45-day window between the theatrical release and the Max release.
WILL LA CHIMERA BE ON NETFLIX?
No, La Chimera will not be on Netflix — at least not any time soon. While it’s possible the movie may come to the streamer at some point in the future, you’ll just have to head out to a theater or wait for it to become available on Hulu in the meantime.
