GET SOME HEADLINES HERE HAPPENING TODAY. THOUSANDS OF OKLAHOMA’S FUTURE FARMERS WILL HEAD TO THE STATE FAIRGROUNDS. ORGANIZERS OF THE OKLAHOMA YOUTH EXPO SAY IT IS THE WORLD’S LARGEST JUNIOR LIVESTOCK SHOW. KOCO AUDREY GOODSON JOINS US THERE LIVE NOW WITH HOW THEY’RE INVESTING IN OUR STATE’S NEXT GENERATION. NOW, ORGANIZERS TELL US THIS IS LIKE THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP OF LIVESTOCK, AND THEY EXPECT TO SEE OVER 7504 A AND FFA STUDENTS FROM ALL 77 OKLAHOMA COUNTIES. NOW, THOSE SHEEP ARE GOING TO SHOW OFF THEIR SHEEP, CATTLE, GOATS AND PIGS. THEY’RE THE FUTURE OF AGRICULTURE. AND SO THESE KIDS ARE GOING TO BE THE ONES THAT ARE ULTIMATELY GOING TO BE GROWING OUR FOOD FOR THE FUTURE. THEY’RE THE ONES THAT ARE GOING TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A PLATE AT YOUR TABLE WHEN YOU GO TO EAT AND SIT DOWN AND EAT SUPPER. Organizers of the Oklahoma Youth Expo said it's the world's largest junior livestock show. They say the 10-day event is like the "state championship of livestock."

Over 7,500 4-A and FFA students from all 77 Oklahoma counties are expected to be at the show.

"They're the future of agriculture. These kids are ultimately going to be the ones that are growing our food for the future," said Kass Newell, the Oklahoma Youth Expo director of operations.

Students will show off sheep, cattle, goats and pigs.
