It’s been a somber end to the week, with the news of a mass killing in Moscow. Some big brands faced hurdles this week, with Apple under scrutiny, Nike stumbling and Gucci losing some of its cachet in China. The rally in Chinese stocks also came off the boil, hurt by poor earnings and a slumping yuan. Japan, however, continued to pull in investment.
