WORTH COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) - Travelers should expect an upcoming traffic shift on State Route (SR) 133 in Worth County.

Beginning April 4, SR 133 traffic will be redirected onto a newly constructed detour, as a part of ongoing reconstruction and widening efforts. Following the traffic shift, the existing roadway will be removed, and new lanes will be built.

The affected section spans from north of Colquitt County line to north of SR 112, covering a distance of approximately six miles. This project is one of four sections of SR 133 currently undergoing enhancements.

The anticipated completion date for this section is set for the summer of 2026. The new traffic pattern is expected to remain in place for an extended period, potentially lasting a year or more.
