Jim Delahunt runs the rule over Celtic vs St Johnstone, Dundee vs Rangers, rest of the SPFL card plus his weekend acca

This week's five-team acca pays out a tasty 37/1!

LUTON blew a 3-0 lead at Bournemouth midweek but the Hatters can bounce back by beating their nearest relegation rivals at Kenilworth Road.

Nottingham Forest travel south after last weekend's 1-0 defeat at Brighton had coach Nuno Espirito Santo claiming bias against his side from officials but Forest aren't winning enough games.

The same charge can be made against Luton of course but last Saturday's point at Palace ended a 4-match losing run and only a superhuman effort from the Cherries denied them at the Vitality.

Forest's 3 points advantage over third bottom Luton seems to have swayed the layers today but the Hatters look a value price at 7/4 and better in places and a win over the Tricky Trees can change the course of their season.

MOTHERWELL make the Acca this week and I'm also keen on including HIBS at shorter odds of 1/2 to beat Livingston after midweek disappointment in Dingwall.

Nick Montgomery's side is back at Easter Road after feeling hard done by with a draw at Ross County and Livingston's cup heroics in defeat at Celtic might not translate into a lost cause in the Premiership.

Goals from Maolida and Le Fondre looked to have clinched all 3 points for Hibs after their Cup defeat to Rangers but this looks a good chance to make amends with a trip to Ibrox looming after the international break.

Derek McInnes says he's used St Mirren as the benchmark since arriving at KILMARNOCK and I fancy the Rugby Park side to leapfrog the Buddies into 4th with a win over Saints at 11/10.

St Mirren's win over Aberdeen was Roy of the Rovers stuff 2 weeks ago but Kilmarnock's home form has been a major strength and they can bag another 3 points here despite continuing fitness doubts over Kevin van Veen and Greg Stewart.

MIDDLESBROUGH moved to within 5 points of the play-off places with a third straight league win on Tuesday and they can follow that victory at Birmingham with another 3 points at home to Blackburn.

Michael Carrick seems to have found his best team at last and there now seems to be every indication that 'Boro can get themselves in the mix for the play-offs with 9 games left and 2 of their next 3 games also at the Riverside after today.

Rovers head north without a win in 8 games and despite managing 5 league draws and taking a cup tie to extra-time in that run, Middlesbrough can prove too strong with home advantage and 10/11 looks more than fair.

Scottish football really doesn't suit me, I've not got too many good memories of playing there, says one-time wonderkid

WEST BROM aren't going to reach the automatic promotion places but they're putting together an excellent run of results at a crucial time to cement a play-off place and 4/5 looks decent with mid-table Bristol City losing 5 of their last 6 matches.

QUEENS PARK couldn't hold on to a 2-0 lead to land the Single against Partick last week but they can put that draw behind them with another home game against title challengers Raith who won at Thistle midweek.

The Spiders look a huge price at an average of 21/10 and that has to be today's best value in the Championship with their 3 matches against Rovers this season finishing 2-3, 2-3, 2-1.

WOLVES and MANCHESTER CITY should have straightforward FA Cup quarter-final wins today at 8/13 and 2/9 against Coventry and Newcastle and I'll skip tomorrow's Chelsea/Leicester tie to add 4/5 LIVERPOOL at Manchester United for a treble paying just over 5/2.

Saturday SINGLE

WIGAN are in League One limbo with their points deduction but their home record is top 6 material and Shaun Maloney's side can beat Blackpool at 11/5.

Kilmarnock  11/10

Middlesbrough 10/11

Five homes across 3 different leagues today and the Acca pays out at 37/1.

DUNDEE V RANGERS  Sunday 12 noon  Sky Sports

Rangers have to put Thursday's home defeat by Benfica behind them straight away with Celtic long odds-on to have gone back top of the table by tonight.

This morning's table-toppers are 1/3 to bounce straight back to winning league form but Dundee are fresh from 4 points against Kilmarnock and Aberdeen since a 7-1 mauling at Celtic.

Tony Docherty's side is 7/1 for a home win with the draw at 4/1 and despite needing a penalty to beat Aberdeen on Wednesday, both teams to score looks the bet here at 9/10.

CELTIC V ST JOHNSTONE

Celtic landed the half-time/full-time bet at 4/9 last Saturday but they were hardly impressive in disposing of Livingston and a previously pointless St Johnstone drew 0-0 here in August.

The visitors are much changed under Craig Levein of course and they've won at Aberdeen and draw with Livingston since losing 4 straight league games in February.

Celtic need to bank 3 points with Rangers away at Dundee on Sunday and last week's hat-trick hero Daizen Maeda can help the general 1/10 chances to another HT/FT success at 4/9 again.

ROSS COUNTY V HEARTS

The Staggies nicked a late leveller at home to Hibs on Wednesday and Yan Dhanda's goal can inspire Don Cowie's players to eke out another point against the 4/5 Jambos at a general 13/5.

I thought Hearts were a great price at 4/5 to win the Monday match at Morton here last Saturday but County managed a 2-2 draw at Tynecastle as recently as December 30 and they showed plenty against Hibs midweek.

Cowie made 4 changes for the Hibs game and the caretaker boss won't be afraid to tweak things again as he chases points to close down Aberdeen and St Johnstone.

MOTHERWELL V ABERDEEN

Peter Leven stays in charge of Aberdeen after the midweek defeat at Dens Park and I fancy the 2/1 visitors could have another tough day at the office against well rested 'Well.

Stuart Kettlewell's side defied the odds to win at Rangers 2 weeks ago and the general 13/10 looks a standout on today's card with the visitors' form showing no signs of stabilising.

Theo Bair and Dan Casey provided the crucial goals at Ibrox and Motherwell now have 3 of their last 4 games at Fir Park before the split with a home win my major fancy here.
