MONROE, La. (KNOE) - Today, Jo Ann Deal with the Better Business Bureau joined Good Morning ArkLaMiss to discuss Bitcoin ATM scams.

Deal says if someone contacts you telling you to move your money from one location to another, it could be a scam. She says to only talk to your investment banker or representative about moving funds.

When people are being contacted about moving their money, Deal says they are being directed to Bitcoin ATMs. She says Bitcoin is a form of virtual currency that is not secure and you should not move your money to this ATM.

If you feel you are a victim of these scams or others, contact the BBB at (318)-387-4600.

The BBB is also having a shredding event on Wednesday, April 23 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Premiere Plaza.
