A Connecticut man was arrested in connection with the robbery of a pizza delivery driver in February, police said.

On Feb. 24 around 11 p.m., Norwalk Police Combined Dispatch received a call that a pizza delivery driver was robbed on Meadow Street, according to the Norwalk Police Department.

Police learned that a phone order was called into a local restaurant for food delivery to a specified address on Meadow Street. When the delivery driver went to the location, he was allegedly approached by a man, later identified as 29-year-old Harlie Thompson, who reportedly acted as if he was concealing a firearm and pressed it against the driver, according to police.

Thompson then allegedly went through the driver’s pockets, taking his belongings, police said.

After an investigation, the Norwalk Police Department’s Detective Bureau determined that Thompson was the robbery suspect and secured a warrant for his arrest, according to police.

On Wednesday, Thompson turned himself in at police headquarters and was charged with first-degree robbery. He was being held on a $20,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 5, police said.
