Foe star Aaron Pierre is no longer attached to Marvel's upcoming Blade reboot.
It was reported in early 2022 that Pierre had been cast in the film in an unclosed role, though his casting was never officially confirmed by Marvel Studios.
During a new interview with Variety, however, the actor confirmed he was involved in some "conversations" to star, but this never came to fruition following the film's lengthy delays.

"Early on, there were conversations," he said. "As the project evolved, I’m no longer part of that — attached."
Blade was originally announced at San Diego Comic-Con in 2019 with Mahershala Ali leading as the titular superhero, but the film's journey to the big screen has been a bumpy one.
Since it's announcement, the blockbuster has changed its director and screenwriters, as well as being temporarily shelved due to last year's Writers Guild of America strike.

However, Ali provided fans with an encouraging update in recent months, confirming the film would be back in action "relatively soon".
"We're working on it. That's the best I could tell you," he said. "I'm really encouraged with the direction of the project. I think we'll be back at it relatively soon. I'm sincerely encouraged in terms of where things are at and who's on board and who's leading the way as far as the writing of the script and the directing and all that."
True Detective creator Nic Pizzolatto is on writing duties, while Yann Demange (White Boy Rick) took over as the film's director following Bassam Tariq's exit. Pearl actress Mia Goth will also appear in the film alongside Ali, though her role is currently being kept under wraps.
Blade has a release date of November 7, 2025.
