Jose Antonio Gonzalez Torres of Forest City plead guilty to “Harassment in the First Degree,” an aggravated misdemeanor, stemming from an investigation by the Forest City Police Department on Oct. 12, 2023. Gonzalez Torres was sentenced to two years in prison; sentence suspended. Gonzalez Torres was ordered to pay a criminal fine of $855.00, applicable surcharges, and court costs; fine suspended. Gonzalez Torres will be under the supervision of the Department of Correctional Services for two years.
Rashad Ali Eason of Clear Lake plead guilty to “Possession of a Controlled Substance – Second Offense (Ecstasy),” an aggravated misdemeanor, and “Assault Causing Bodily Injury,” a serious misdemeanor, stemming from an investigation by the Forest City Police Department on Aug. 22, 2023. For Count 1, Eason was sentenced to four days in jail, a criminal fine of $855.00, applicable surcharges and court costs; fine suspended. For Count 2, Eason was sentenced to four days in jail, a criminal fine of $435.00, applicable surcharges, and court costs. Eason must obtain a substance abuse evaluation and follow through all treatment recommendations.
