Some folks are enjoying a long holiday weekend, and what better way to spend part of it than running one of the area’s favorite 5Ks or 10Ks? Saturday brings the annual Yuri’s Fun Run to the Clear Lake area, with space-themed events for all ages.
Yuri’s Fun Run is part of the worldwide Yuri’s Night Out celebration commemorating the first human space flight, made by Russian cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin on April 12, 1961. The events also celebrate the first orbital flight of the U.S. Space Shuttle exactly 20 years later.
