Kansas City Public School teachers to receive pay raises next year

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City Public School teachers will be getting a pay raise next school year, according to an announcement from Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Collier.

KCPS announced Wednesday that first-year teacher salaries will increase from $46,650 to $48,150. Current KCPS teachers will also see an increase in their yearly salary.

This announcement comes during a non-bargaining year. KCPS said it recognizes the critical importance of investing in its educators, especially during a nationwide teacher shortage.
