NJ native Ramy Youssef set to host 'Saturday Night Live' on March 30

New Jersey's very own Ramy Youssef is all set to host "Saturday Night Live" on March 30, the show announced. 

The actor and comedian will be hosting the show with Travis Scott as the night's musical guest. 

Youssef, 32, hails from Rutherford. He made his film debut in the Oscar nominated film, "Poor Things." 

He is currently promoting his new comedy special, titled "Ramy Youssef: More Feelings" which was shot at White Eagles Hall in Jersey City. The show is expected to premiere on March 23. 

Youssef won a Golden Globe in 2020 for his portrayal as the lead actor in Hulu’s "Ramy," a groundbreaking series set in North Jersey. Co-created and starred in by Youssef himself, the show delves into the life of a Muslim Egyptian American family. Since its debut in 2019, "Ramy" has captivated audiences and critics alike, running successfully for three seasons. 

The 32-year old also heads the Cairo Cowboy production company, where he'll serve as both co-creator and star of his forthcoming animated series "#1 Happy Family USA." The show is slated for two seasons on Amazon.
