Oak Mountain State Park officials are hosting an official Solar Eclipse viewing party.

The park will provide NASA approved viewing glasses on a first come, first serve basis. Families can head out to the South Trailhead Field on Terrace Drive. The event is set to begin at 1 p.m.

Tickets are $2 for children and seniors, adults will have to pay $5, pre-purchase tickets here.

    Dauphin Island is a small oasis just 35 minutes outside of Mobile right on the Gulf Coast. The peak eclipse will shine over the island around noon so be sure to leave early or make it an overnight stay and head into town the night before.
