Former President Donald Trump reacted to the resignation of Fulton County Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade with his typically garrulous style, writing a post on his Truth Social account that took swipes at Wade, District Attorney Fani Willis, President Joe Biden, and even Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is prosecuting the two federal indictments against the ex-president.

Friday morning, Judge Scott McAfee issued a much-anticipated ruling that declined to find that Willis derived a “material financial benefit” from her past relationship with Wade such that would constitute a disqualifying conflict of interest. He nonetheless sharply criticized how the prosecution was “encumbered by an appearance of impropriety,” necessitating that either Willis or Wade resign from the case.

As expected, Wade resigned Friday afternoon via a letter to Willis’ office, and Willis responded in her own letter accepting his resignation, clearing the way for her to continue overseeing the prosecution of the former president and several of his allies for allegedly attempting to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.

Shortly after the news broke of Wade’s resignation, Trump posted his reaction.

Trump’s message bashed Wade as “The Fani Willis lover” and a prosecutor who was “Special” “in more ways than one,” emphasized the pronunciation of Willis’ name, and wrapped with his standard complaints that everyone is out to get him “for purposes of Election Interference and living the life of the Rich & Famous.”

The Fani Willis lover, Mr. Nathan Wade Esq., has just resigned in disgrace, as per his and her reading of the Judge’s Order today. Nathan was the “Special,” in more ways than one, Prosecutor “engaged” by Fani (pronounced Fauni!) Willis, to persecute TRUMP for Crooked Joe Biden and his Department of Injustice, for purposes of Election Interference and living the life of the Rich & Famous. This is the equivalent of Deranged Jack Smith getting “canned,” BIG STUFF, something which should happen in the not too distant future!!!

As for Smith “getting canned,” whether that is “BIG STUFF” or not, that seems unlikely as long as Trump is not president again. It’s long been assumed that if he is re-elected, that he would seek to halt his federal prosecutions or pardon himself. Trump would not, however, have any such power regarding a state-level criminal matter, such as Willis’ case in Fulton County, Georgia.
