SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Missouri State students in Business Administration will soon have a new degree option that they can pursue.

Missouri State University announced on Monday a new Master of Business Administration degree focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) that will make its debut this fall.

The STEM-focused degree was approved by the Board of Governors in January but was finally approved by The Missouri Department of Higher Education and Workforce Development and the Higher Learning Commission.

“This degree will offer additional career opportunities for our students and complement our recruiting efforts,” said Dr. Elizabeth Rozell, associate dean and director of MBA programs at Missouri State. “The first of its kind at a public institution in Missouri, this will help domestic students expand interest in STEM fields and give more opportunity to international students who wish to work in the United States after graduation.”

The STEM program aims to help U.S. students expand their interest in STEM fields and give additional opportunities to international students looking to work in the United States after they graduate.
