Geraldine “Jean” M. Moose, 96, of Hanover, PA, entered into God’s eternal care, Sunday, March 24, 2024, at the Gettysburg Center.

Born March 22, 1928, in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Russel D. and Virgie M. (Hankey) Shetter. Jean was the loving wife of the late Ray E. Moose with whom she shared 65 years of marriage until his passing on April 19, 2014.

Jean was a member of Christ Church of Littlestown and served with the Christian Fellowship committee, the Women’s Guild, and Senior Citizen’s Group.

Jean retired in 1993 from K-Mart as a customer service director with over seventeen years of service.

Jean enjoyed reading, crocheting, baking cookies, planting flowers, spending time with family, and going to grandchildren’s sporting events.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Sharon L. Goldstein and husband Robert Dobrovolski of Hanover; her son, Wayne D. Moose and wife Linda of Hanover; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Linard.

A funeral service to celebrate and remember Jean will be held 11AM, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Christ Church of Littlestown, 131 Christ Church Road, Littlestown, PA, with Rev. Doug Mummert officiating. Burial will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Littlestown, PA. A visitation and time to share memories with the family will be held from 10–11AM, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at the church.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101.
