Early voting in Ohio will conclude March 17.

The Lorain County Board of Elections released early voting totals as of March 14.

Up to then, 6,181 people voted in the Democratic primary and 4,828 residents cast ballots in the Republican primary, according to a news release from the elections board.

Also, 261 people voted on issues only, the release said.

These numbers include all early votes cast at the Board of Elections and mail absentee ballot requests, according to the release.

Early voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 16; and from 1 to 5 p.m., March 17.

There will be no early voting March 18.

Early in-person voting occurs at the Board of Elections, 1985 North Ridge Road East in Sheffield Township.

On Election Day, March 19, voters must report to their polling place to cast a ballot.

No regular voting will be conducted at the Board of Elections on March 19.

Voters should be aware of new voter identification card rules implemented in 2023 due to House Bill 458.

Voters with an Ohio driver’s license or state identification cars should ensure it is not expired, the release said.
