1) Don’t Miss the Sailaway Party

Make sure that you make your way to the pool deck for the sailaway party. This fun event is the perfect way to start your cruise off in style. Expect a free glass of champagne, a flash mob and the DJ playing a variety of songs!

2) Pack a Splash of Red

Scarlet Night. Perhaps the most iconic night aboard a Virgin Voyages' sailing, it’s a celebration of the fabled love between a sailor and an enchanting goddess of the sea. On Scarlet Night, not only is the ship transformed with themed décor, but a menagerie of experiences are on offer, from pop-up circus performances to karaoke, live music and even a dance party on the pool deck! So pack a splash of red and look forward to a night unlike any other.

3) Book a Central Sea Terrace or a XL Sea Terrace

If you can, opt for a Central Sea Terrace or XL Sea Terrace; they've got the best locations on the ship, and also have a hammock on the balcony (game changer!) which is the comfiest place to relax and enjoy a coffee in the morning or an afternoon drink before getting ready for an evening out.

4) Book Your Dining Reservations Before You Sail

Dining reservations can currently be made up to 45 days in advance (60 days in advance for RockStar and Mega RockStar sailors), so be sure to use the Virgin Voyages app to see the different options available and to book your preferred restaurants asap. Restaurants such as The Wake, Gunbae and Pink Agave book up very quickly, so make bookings at your favourites ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

5) Commemorate Your Trip with a Tattoo at Sea

If you’ve always wanted a tattoo or you’re a tattoo enthusiast, then head on over to the Squid Ink tattoo studio. Even though you can’t book an appointment ahead of time, the moment you step onto the ship you can book your slot! But hurry, these appointments book up very quickly, so you won’t want to miss out.

6) Book Onboard Experiences ASAP!

Not only will you have to make dining reservations (other than for The Galley), you’ll also need to book in for quizzes, theatre shows and other entertainment that’s offered onboard. Some Virgin Voyages sailings are fully booked, so it’s important that you book these when you can!

7) Consider Booking a Virgin Voyages Bar Tab

Virgin Voyages do it a little differently; instead of the traditional drinks package, they have something called a Bar Tab. Available across the fleet, there are currently three bar tabs available, including a $100 Bar Tab, a $200 Bar Tab and a $300 Bar Tab. the more you spend, the more you get on top. For example, on a $300 Bar Tab, Virgin Voyages are currently offering an extra $50 on top - giving you $350 to spend on drinks.

Book yours up to 24 hours before sailing. Virgin Voyages bar tab can also be shared with other guests!

8) Take Advantage of All Inclusive Fitness Classes

Whilst many people use their cruise to relax and unwind, others might want to continue their fitness routine whilst travelling! On a Virgin Voyages cruise there are a range of included fitness classes, from sunrise yoga to kickboxing and more! So whether you’re a fitness fanatic or you simply want to try out a new type of workout, Virgin Voyages have you covered.
