Temperatures rose over 30-degrees Thursday after a frosty start. Seventy-degree days are possible, but snow chances are also in the forecast

Over one week into spring and Thursday started very much like a winter morning. Lows included 23° Crawfordsville and Cambridge City.

This front is key as to where our weekend temperatures will go. First, provides a few more clouds overnight and a small shower chance through sunrise. The front creeps north Friday and far enough Saturday that 70° temps are possible to open the weekend. Same front settles south by Easter Sunday providing a wind shift and a temporary but quick cool off.

There will be rain chances as this front lingers but more importantly there will be many long spans of dry/rain free weather even on Easter Sunday. Showers and a few storms are more possible late Friday into Saturday and again Sunday night into Monday.

LONG RANGE

Once again, the front is on the move and the warmest of the 7-day outlook is Monday when temperatures surge well into the 70s. Rain will reach its peak Monday night and early Tuesday then diminish as a surge of much colder/unseasonably colder air settles in on Tuesday. Below, the upper-air forecast Wednesday which includes a cold, closed upper low. That may be enough to produce some snow showers next week. Stay tuned!
