NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a 2023 deadly shooting in Madison.

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said 26-year-old Joequez Sangster was arrested on an outstanding second-degree murder indictment in connection with a shooting that killed Timothy Fetter on Jan. 11, 2023.

Police said officers responded to the 600 block of East Old Hickory Boulevard at around 6 p.m. to investigate a shooting with critical injury. Once on scene, they found Fetter, 48, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside his red Pontiac GTO.

Someone in a light-colored sedan reportedly fired several shots at him and fled eastbound after the shooting. Fetter, meanwhile, was taken to Skyline Medical Center where he died, according to investigators.

On March 13, 2024, the MNPD said they arrested 27-year-old Stefanie Hernandez, of Gallatin, on a second-degree murder charge. She was taken into custody at a Nashville home improvement store where she worked.

The investigation revealed Hernandez was present when Fetter was shot.

On March 21, 2024, the MNPD announced they had arrested Sangster in connection with the shooting.

Investigators said road rage was a likely motive.
