As usual for Dan Rodricks, his recent column about his chance meeting on the street with a young man who needed help to tie a necktie for a job interview was so beautiful (“Dan Rodricks: Tied up for a few meaningful minutes on a downtown Baltimore street,” Feb. 23). How sensitive he is to changes in our society and the importance of connecting with people including people unknown to us. My friend who rides the MTA exclusively has discovered this gift.
